Equal Opportunities for People with Disabilities Stamp

The attractive green stamp, issued in December 1996, shows a modern-style sketch of two people seated at a table, one of whom is in a wheelchair, displaying a positive attitude towards his companion, holding out a large, bright-coloured flower to him which the other is reaching to accept. The symbol of a flower resting on a table top is reproduced on the tab. Currently 500,00 people with disabilities live in Israel, represented by the Umbrella Organisation of Associations for the Disabled. The main goals of the UOAD are the integration and advancement of the disabled and exceptional people, promoting their equal opportunities and full participation in society.
