Environmental Coastal Conservation Stamp

This stamp portrays a beautiful Mediterranean beach scene with golden sand in the foreground, a deep blue sea mirroring the azure of the summer sky contrasted against a gaily coloured beach umbrella on the shore. On the tab the Coastal Conservation Environment Authority emblem is shown. The first day cover pictures man’s careless pollution by litter destroying the purity and beauty of clear blue waters; further highlighted in the erosion of an endangered coastline. The souvenir sheet was issued in December, 2001. The souvenir sheet together with an information sheet are enclosed in a plastic protection sheet.
