The Purpose and Promise of Prophecy

It is a fact revealed in the Bible, that “the Lord God will do nothing, but He revealeth His secret unto His servants the prophets” (Amos 3v7). This teaches that the secret of God’s purpose can be discovered, but it can be found in one place only – in His Word, the Bible.

Prophecy is designed to reveal the secret of God’s purpose with the earth – to make known to those interested, His intentions with man upon it, and His promise to fulfil His purpose.
