Olympic Games, Athens 2004 Stamp

This attractive set of three stamps look forward to the Olympic Games held in Athens in 2004, and depict three sports represented by four Israeli athletes at the Barcelona, Atlanta, Sydney Olympic Games in 1992, 1996 and 2000. The stamps feature Judo, Wind Gliding, Kayaking and the respective two bronze and one silver medal awarded to the athletes for past performances. The names of the four medal-winning athletes are: Yael Arad; Oren Smadg’a; Gal Friedman; Michael Kalganov. The souvenir sheet was issued in July, 2004.
