Bar Ilan University 50 Years Stamp
This stamp issued in May 2005, depicts the innovative architecture of the University’s campus buildings: The Bar-Ilan landmark, the Wengrovsky Visitor’s Centre and Observatory; Wohl Centre; Nagel Jewish Heritage Centre; and the Gonda (Goldschmied) Brain Research Centre. The University was established in 1955, named after Rabbi Meir Bar-Ilan, a religious Zionist leader in pre-State Israel. The Institution’s aim is to blend Jewish heritage and values with excellence in modern science and scholarship. The main University campus is situated in Ramat Gan, one of five regional colleges operating throughout Israel.
